Accidents
Both of these sightings were sort of accidents — the yellow-rumped warbler I took a picture of without much thought about it (explains why the quality isn’t great), thinking I was looking at some sort of sparrow. While the pileated woodpecker shot was just after a hawk landed in the tree above him, and I just managed to catch the woodpecker screeching out of there.
Sometimes all you get is the butt. At least this rudeness confirms the sighting: yellow-rumped warbler.
